Spring HT1 2023/24

Updated: Jun 11

Good evening,

As we prepare to say goodbye to 2023, it's nice to take a moment to reflect on what the year has looked liked for us - the good, the bad, and everything in between - before we move forward.

The last 12 months have been some of SY's biggest yet: from becoming a CIC, to hosting our first big event, to building more professional relationships than ever before. And we want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have been a part of this year. Thank you for allowing SY to grow into what it is, for without all of you, it would all mean nothing at all!

To recognise this transition into the new year, we are very excited to share that we will be holding 'A Community Winter Celebration'. The event is open to all - whether attendees are part of the Neurodiverse and Disabled Community or not, everyone is welcome. And the best part is, entry is free! We’ll only ask for a small payment if you choose to access the food, drinks or activities, meaning if you just want to socialise, you won’t need to spend a penny. We really hope you can join us!

All the details are below 👇

Now, let's look at the Half Term ahead of us:

Aside from some funding towards our event on 3rd January, there's no new news regarding funding to share with you yet...the turnarounds are ever so long at the moment due to overwhelmed systems! We continue to cross our fingers that we'll be able to access funding soon so we can fill the timetable with exciting, low-cost (or free!) sessions and events for you all. We'd be grateful if you would cross your fingers too on our behalf!

So, it's time for us to take a break; to recharge so we can bring you our best selves for 2024's adventures. Thank you, again, for being a part of SY's Community this year - we appreciate each and every one of you.

Rach is now 'out of office' for the Christmas break. She'll be back on Tuesday 2nd January to put the final pieces in place for Wednesday's event and begin yoga sessions with Chair Class on the Friday.

Finally, we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas to all those that celebrate, and a happy and healthy New Year. To 2024!

Kindest wishes, from SEND Yogis CIC x
