We have some huge news! It is with much excitement that we are finally able to share the next chapter of growth for SEND Yogis: we are now a Community Interest Company (CIC). Last year, alongside our busy timetable, we were working our way through the hefty amount of information that goes with an immense change such as this, compiling our application, then crossing our fingers as we awaited the result. Thank goodness we were successful! As we transition fully to our new status, let's take a moment to understand what it means for us and, more importantly, you.
What is a CIC?
A Community Interest Company is a special type of company that exists primarily to benefit the community rather than shareholders. Our transformation into a CIC reflects everything we want SEND Yogis to be: a company that exists to serve the Neurodiverse and Disabled Community wholeheartedly.
What's Ahead for SEND Yogis?
With this transition, the opportunities for the whole Community are expanding. We're not just changing our status, we're opening doors to access things such as funding and grants, allowing us to offer more, at a lower cost, to you. Amazing, right?! As we begin to explore what now is within our grasp, we are thrilled that our CIC status ensures we have the structure and backing to reach our goals.
