Autumn HT1 2023/24

Updated: Jun 11

Hey there,

It's a new academic year! And we want to welcome you, as a member of the SY Community, wholeheartedly to the next chapter in SEND Yogis' growth. But first...

2022/23 was a busy year for us so, as is important in our yoga practice, it's good to take a moment to reflect. Let's take a quick look back:

Last August, Rach was awarded her qualification to teach Specialist Yoga for Adults which meant the introduction of our Adult's Yoga Class on a Tuesday evening! As we settled into the new routine, the term flew by and soon it was the New Year. In January, we created the SY Community Group on Facebook to allow streamlined and important information to be delivered to you in a faster, easier fashion. As we headed towards Easter, we took a moment to assess how things were going and decided that our Kid's Yoga Class needed a new home. Our yogis adapted marvellously, quickly finding safety and comfort in the new environment of Aston's Village Hall and before we knew it, it was the Summer Term!

Throughout the year, we asked yourselves for feedback, which you responded to very helpfully indeed! We also continued to offer a space for you as a Community through our Half-Termly Social Mornings. Then came the Summer Holidays, where we chose to honour our usual timetable rather than reduce it as we did the previous year. You guys were busy, but still made time to join us at class, and for that we are so very grateful.

That draws us all the way up to last week, and our 'event of the summer'! What a fabulous time we had, coming together as one to enjoy the space, engage in activities, and eat some food! Thank you to all who were able to attend <3

Now, we have an exciting announcement to share with you...

Whilst all this was going on last year, we were working behind the scenes on an application to become a CIC (Community Interest Company), which we are thrilled to say was successful! This means we will now be able to apply for access to things such as community grants and funding pots, in turn allowing us to offer more, at a lower cost, to you. Amazing, right?!

Onto this Half Term:

You'll notice there's no Kid's Class on Sunday 1st October; Rach will be attending a family funeral so this cannot be helped unfortunately, but we shall be missing you all that weekend! Other than that, our usual classes will be held. Please remember to book your space before class using our website. You can pay online, or in person, but either way you'll need your card handy as we are no longer able to accept cash.

Remember:

1) Book Online - head to our website, log in on the Wix Spaces app, or click here.

2) Choose a Bundle - you can purchase classes as 'Singles' or as part of a Bundle

3) Make Your Payment - payments can be made at time of booking online, or at the class itself.

We continue to ask for your feedback so if you feel there is anything you would like to share with us, be it something good we do or something that could be better, we want to know!

As always, a big thank you for taking the time to stay up-to-date via this Newsletter. We're very much looking forward to shaping a new chapter of SEND Yogis with you, and hope you have a brilliant Half Term over the coming weeks!

Kindest regards, SEND Yogis CIC x
